Guided Hike up Mount Penrose

The hike will be customized for the winner. There are a lot of variables depending on the group’s ability.

Hike destination will depend on group and it may be a hike to the summit or the summit ridge or a hike around the lower flank of Penrose to some lookouts.

Hike can be a few hours up to a full day, depending on group and destination.

Hike will have to be taken this summer or fall.

Hike will be taken at your own risk.

Cause

In 2023, a major wildfire burnt over 10,000 hectares in our community and area. The recovery needs are significant, and all funds raised will go to support a variety of recovery needs for community groups, environmental concerns, trail rehabilitation and signage, bear awareness and support of bear habitat, and replanting programs.
